Listed here is a vintage or antique WWI era 3/0 size Waltham trench style watch to use for a repair project or for parts. The watch has an Illinois watch case co. nickel case that measures approx. 32mm across not inc. the crown tube, and 42.5mm end to end including the thick wire lugs. The case is showing some scratches and a few small tarnished spots, but overall still looks very good. The back and bezel still screw on and off smoothly as they should. However the movement seems to sit up just a tiny bit too high so there is a slight gap at the bezel when viewed from the side, and I didn't want to try to force it down any farther. The white enamel bold number dial is showing some hairline cracks, but could still be used. The blued steel hands still look good, but the glass crystal is cracked. The watch has a 3/0 size stem wind and set Waltham movement not marked for a jewel count, but is most likely a 7 jewel. The movement still looks good and the balance still looks good, but it is missing the crown and stem. The sleeve is still intact, but no stem or crown. Also when I tried setting the watch with a tiny screwdriver it seemed like the pinions where either loose or broken, because the minute hand was kind of flopping around when setting. The serial number of 21,150,929 dates the movement ca. 1917-18 era, so still in the WWI era. It still looks to be a good vintage trench style watch to use for a repair project, or for a good source of parts.
