This is a beautiful Edwardian-era New Year postcard for 1908, featuring a heavily embossed winter scene. The design shows a church and a stone bridge under a night sky, with the year "1908" formed by snow-laden icicles.

​The card has a lovely personal touch, with the sender having signed their name on the front in the same hand found on the reverse. It was posted from Providence, USA in late 1907 and arrived in Trowbridge, England in early 1908. The stamp has been removed. Please see the scans for a full view of the condition and embossing.
