Offered for auction is the following
The Uncut McCalls Patters are all in very good or better condition as photos show. I have taken a number of photograph of the set of McCall patterns one of which I photographed the factory folded pattern and the instruction manual as photo shows on 1 of the Pattern types.
James McCall, a Scottish tailor, established the McCall Pattern Company in 1870 in New York City. Patterns were unprinted until 1919, when they started printing information directly onto the pattern pieces. In 1932 they started printing full color illustrations on their pattern envelopes. This is the only company to print the dates on their envelopes, which makes it easy to date their patterns.
On the Pattern envelope the patterns are dated as follows 2 1874 and 1 1887 at address 230 Park Avenue, N.Y. and 1 1991, 2 2000 and 1 2002 at address 11 Penn Plaza, N.Y.
Please view photos for condition.
