Product Overview
SAMURAI JEANS S511AX is an Aizome Plus slim tapered jean in indigo. This model uses a slim tapered silhouette with a strong taper from the thigh to the hem, while keeping the rise from becoming too shallow. The shape is intended to stay balanced even with a shorter inseam appearance.
The denim uses 18oz Aizome Plus Samurai Cotton selvedge denim. Samurai Cotton blended yarn is dyed with a special mixture of indigo dye and natural indigo, allowing natural indigo, which is usually limited to hank dyeing, to be applied through rope dyeing. The result is an 18oz fabric with a rough surface character and the rich blue tone associated with natural indigo.
This model uses a dedicated leather patch with an indigo-dyer motif and navy foil stamping, a dedicated flasher, a silver painted iron taiko button, copper coin rivets, and an Aizome Plus printed pocket bag. Sewing mainly uses banana yellow and golden brown thread, adjusted by seam location for contrast and definition.
