The RS-M270X is a mid-range cassette deck equipped with dbx noise reduction, featuring a remarkably wide dynamic range and low-noise recording for its time.

dbx compresses the signal during recording and expands it during playback, achieving noise reduction of over 30dB and a large dynamic range.

Furthermore, it employs a direct-drive (DD) motor in the capstan, ensuring stable tape transport.
