Description:
Crush the interlopers of the Jade Abbey with the bloated might of the Blight Templars. Once the honored holy guardians of the Everspring, these fallen champions have been "reborn" into Nurgle’s service. They are the elite, heavy-infantry core of Gelgus Pust’s army, combining the martial discipline of their former lives with the unnatural resilience of the Maggotkin.
These components are from the core Warhammer Quest: Darkwater set (released December 2025). Every part is genuine Games Workshop plastic, new, and has been cleanly trimmed off the sprue. Designed as push-fit miniatures, these models are exceptionally easy to build while maintaining an incredible level of grotesque detail.
Condition: New, Off-Sprue (NOS) Plastic. This listing includes the parts for one (1) Blight Templar miniature and its corresponding 40mm round hex-slot base, as shown in the photographs.
The Blight Templars were once members of the Order of the Verdant Shield, sworn to protect the Abbey’s sacred waters. When Gelgus Pust betrayed the order, those who didn't die were offered a choice: eternal rot or eternal silence. Now clad in rusted, fusion-welded plate armor that has become part of their very flesh, they serve as the "Heavy" enemies in Darkwater. In gameplay, they are renowned for their "Sloven Bulwark" ability, making them nearly impossible to move once they have anchored themselves in a corridor.
The Blight Templar sculpt is a massive, imposing figure that towers over standard human-sized models:
Heavy Rotsword / Greatcleaver: Massive, pitted blades dripping with toxic fluids, designed to sunder the heavy armor of the Abbey's heroes.
Corrupted Plate Armor: Intricate armor sections featuring the spiral imagery of Pust’s insurrection and areas where the metal has bubbled and burst from internal decay.
Bloated Silhouette: A wide, powerful frame that fills a 40mm base, perfectly representing their role as the "Tank" of the enemy encounters.
Cyclopean Helmets: Many variants feature the signature "Blind" masks of the Darkwater cultists, emphasizing their reliance on supernatural senses to hunt.
Putrid Blightkings Proxy: These models are on the same 40mm base size as Putrid Blightkings and make for fantastic, high-detail unit champions or "Rotsword" specialized warriors in a Maggotkin of Nurgle army.
Chaos Chosen of Nurgle: Their heavy armor and martial look make them the perfect base for kitbashing Chaos Chosen for a Slaves to Darkness army with a heavy Nurgle theme.
Death Guard Blightlord Terminators: The bulk and aesthetic of the Blight Templar are easily adapted for 40k as unique Blightlord Terminators or even as a base for a Lord of Contagion.
D&D Blackguard / Death Knight: This is the definitive miniature for representing a Fallen Paladin, Death Knight, or a high-level Undead Guardian in your fantasy RPG.
