For sale is a Rare WW1 Period Circa 1915 Unity Toy Series The Famous French 75mm Field Gun With The original box & instructions.

The instruction sheet states;

“In great contrast to the majority of Toys placed on the Market, especially those of German manufacture, if some part of such is damaged or broken, the whole Toy becomes absolutely useless; whereas the great feature of this Gun is that every part is interchangeable, and any part damaged or broken can be replaced at a small cost. The loading and firing of the Gun is quite simple. To make ready for firing, pull the outside lever downwards till the Striking Hammer catches on the Knob of the Firing Spring, which, when pressed by the forefinger, releases the Striking Hammer. To load, lift the breach, place shot in barrel and close. The Gun may be elevated to any desired position by means of a screw placed on the right hand side of the carriage. By practice it will be found that one can shoot with great accuracy.

In conjunction with the Gun a Toy "Mine" is also placed on the Market, consisting of a small metal box with a spring and trigger flap, which, when struck releases the spring and the box flies open. If same is used in the building of Forts with bricks, or underneath any other suitable objects of warfare, the said Forts, etc., may be completely demolished. By introducing soldiers miniature Battlefields may be formed and much amusement caused by having pitched Battles between opposing forces.”

This is in good condition and it works by pulling a lever and inserting the wooden projectiles. Please note the box is a little tatty and is damaged.

This will be sent via Royal Mail tracked 24 and dispatched within two working days.
