Don Arend – He was a versatile, high-scoring athlete who earned 3rd Team All-State honors that year. He was known for his speed and vertical leap.
Jim Reynolds – The "pivot star" for the Tigers. In 1955, Reynolds averaged 21.4 points per game and was later recognized as a "Retro Mr. Basketball" candidate for his dominance in the paint.
South Bend Washington Panthers (The Indiana Contender)
South Bend Washington has one of the most storied traditions in Indiana "Hoosier" basketball.
The "Panther" Legacy: During this era, South Bend Washington was consistently one of the top teams in Northern Indiana.
