Vintage Ludwig Acrolite 14 x 5 inch snare drum keystone badge. Serial numbers 620945.

The drum was produced at the break point between the 1960s and '70s when Ludwig commonly used different components from different eras on their drums. As such this drum comes with its original p83 throw off, round padded muffler and round muffler control dial.

Natural aluminum shell exterior finish some areas of surface wear and scratches. No dents and no added holes in the shell. Shell is in round heads fit  perfectly. Interior and bearing edges in excellent original condition. All original chrome hardware some areas of moderate to light surface wear and pitting from age.

8 lug drum. Original lugs, original P-83 throw off, butt plate and internal muffler with external muffler control dial. All hardware is in excellent working order and functioning as designed. Upgraded Remo batter head and resonant head both in good playing condition upgraded pure sound snare wires which further enhance the crispness and performance of this drum.

These vintage Acrolite drums are noted for delivering crisp, dry and resonate tones with excellent tuning and volume ranges. Vintage Acrolites are appreciating in value annually -- particularly these 1960s keystone badge drums.
