The M96 is a miniature horizontal Oddball Hit and Miss gas engine model featuring a classic 4-stroke design. With its distinctive appearance and compact structure, this engine is designed for hands-on operation and desktop display.
This single-cylinder engine is precision-machined from brass, stainless steel, and aluminum alloy. A brass sleeve with a lubrication hole is installed on the crankshaft support to reduce friction and improve durability. In addition, a lubricant cup is fitted on the cylinder to support regular lubrication during operation.
The engine is air-cooled and powered by gasoline. A newly developed igniter designed specifically for this model operates on a 1.5V AA battery, allowing the engine to run for approximately 15 minutes per full fuel tank under normal conditions. When started, the engine runs clockwise (facing the starting shaft), producing audible mechanical motion typical of hit and miss engines.
