2 ~ News photos Richard Rheem yacht MORNING STAR St. Francis YC Honolulu Transpac race 1947,1955  

Two newswire photos of the famous yacht Morning Star belonging to 
oilman Richard Rheem of the St.Francis Yacht Club of San Francisco 
and the Los Angeles Yacht Club. Both photos show the yacht participating 
in the Transpac Race to Honolulu. One photo shows the yacht leaving 
Los Angeles Harbor in the 1947 race. The other photo shows the yacht 
arriving off Honolulu winning the race in record time in 1955. Two photos 
are in excellent condition and measure approx. 8 x 9 inches.
