Electronic distributor for a car,For Peugeot 504 or 505. A distributor is an electric and mechanical device used in the ignition system of older spark-ignition engines to route high-voltage current to the spark plugs. 

Identified as compatible with Peugeot all Mod. 504 and 505 from 1979 : 1985 models. 

It is an electronic type, which is an upgrade from older points-based systems. 

Key function is to direct current from the ignition coil to the correct spark plug at the precise moment.

* Important operating instructions

It doesn't require an external comb because it's located inside the distributor, as shown in the attached pictures. The red cable is the positive terminal from the ignition coil, the green cable is the negative terminal, and the black cable is ground in the car body. This component is an upgrade specifically designed to fit all Peugeot 504 models and the Peugeot 505 from 1980 to 1985.
