THIS STILL CAME FROM A COLLECTION PURCHASED FROM A PUBLICIST'S ARCHIVES. I WILL BE LISTING SEVERAL DIFFERENT STILLS, INCLUDING KEY BOOK, RERELEASES, TELEVISION RELEASES ETC. MANY ARE VERY RARE AND NOT FOR SALE ANYWHERE ELSE

ORIGINAL 8"X10"  "IN HOUSE ONLY" STILL, THIS STILL IS MARKED FOR A REDUCTION IN SIZE. ALSO "SAMIR" IS WROTE ON IT. I HAVE SEEN AND READ A LOT OF IN HOUSE STUDIO MEMOS. THERE ARE SEVERAL ANSWERS TO WHY THIS IS ON THE BACK. IT IS COMMON FROM SOMEONE IN PRODUCTION, MARKETING, ADVERTISING ETC TO REQUEST A STILL OR SOMETHING BE MADE A DIFFERENT SIZE OR CROPPED DIFFERENT, FOR EXAMPLE A PRE SCREENING REQUEST FOR 200 5" X 7" STILLS. THERE IS JUST AN ENDLESS AMOUNT OF REASONS FOR  REQUESTS LIKE THIS. MY GUESS IS "SAMIR" IS A PERSON BECAUSE THERE ARE A FEW OTHER STILLS WITH THAT NAME AND A REDUCTION REQUEST. I THINK THIS WAS ALSO DONE WITH SOME POSTER RUNS. THAT CAUSES A LOT OF URBAN MYTHS ABOUT POSTERS AND THEIR CROPPING VARIATIONS

THERE ARE NO STOCKING NUMBERS ON THE BACK LIKE SOME OF THE STILLS IN THIS COLLECTION THAT IS FOR STUDIO USE ONLY. THAT ESTABLISHES IT AS BEING USED "IN HOUSE ONLY", IN THIS CASE BY A PUBLICIST. HOWEVER, THIS STILL AND OTHERS OBVIOUSLY WERE ALL IN ONE BATCH MADE BY THE STUDIO AND KEPT IN HOUSE
