The Dragoon Sword has the following markings on the guard - JM & HKC Ord., NP Ames Cutler, Springfield 1836 on the blade, other side has United States.  The first loop of wire is replaced with smooth wire.  The rest is original.  The leather grip shows a little wear.  The blade has one spot of pitting, the rest is bright with some age spots.  The blade has 7 small nicks on the edge, but they are so small hard to photograph.  The scabbard is a dark patina - No dents or dings.
