  3. The "Dangomushi" figure, released in Japan in 2018, attracted attention for its size—10 times the life size—and its exquisite craftsmanship, becoming a phenomenal hit, selling over 5.5 million units.

  5. Production of the "Dangomushi" series was temporarily halted after the eighth release in 2021. However, approximately four years later, in December 2025, it has returned as an advanced version, incorporating all of Bandai's latest technology.

  7. This "Dangomushi" advanced figure features meticulous reproduction of every detail, thanks to CT scanning. The number of articulated joints has been increased from 24 to 72. Each leg and antenna has 4 joints, allowing for precise angle adjustment.

  9. Not only has the shape been improved from the previous model, but the paint job has also been vastly improved. It's truly stunning in its beauty.

  13. All three colors are fantastic, but my recommendation is the "Iridovirus-infected" version. The paintwork is marvelous, and the spotted surface pattern is very realistic. Pill bugs infected with the Iridovirus prefer bright places, making them more susceptible to being eaten by birds and less likely to live long. But with this figure, you can look at it forever!

  15. Unlike the previous version, this pill bug has magnets embedded in its rear and mouth. This makes it easier to keep its body curled up.

  17. How to Use:Gently pull the legs and antennae outward. To get it to curl up, fold the legs and antennae inward and then curl it up. If a joint comes loose, calmly and carefully reinsert it and return it to its original position.
