hello.. this is a three-part card catalog cabinet set.... AND!... ALL THE DRAWERS HAVE THEIR COLLATING PINS! you'll see in the pictures as I assemble it.. the bottom unit has 15 drawers. there are pins and it's top on to which the second piece is oriented.. and then there is the top which is also oriented by pins in the top of the upper cabinet.. the top is covered in a froggy/toady leatherette material.. I did not remove it to see what was under but I'm sure it's the same wood that the cabinets are made of.. but the leather at is so cute I didn't have the heart to take it off as well as it is essentially without damage. this cabinet was probably built sometime in the 1960s or 1970s.. my assumption is because... there are Phillips head screws holding it together we're screws were needed.. Phillips head screws became more prevalently used during that time.. prior to straight slotted screw heads were the rigor! this cabinet has seen very little use it seems... the inside of the drawers and the inside of the cabinets appear to be as fresh as new! the outside has seen some move around consequences. they are very heavy! I will ship these in two packages. one package being the 15 drawer unit. the other package being the 10 drawer unit with the leatherette top. ... THIS IS A TRULY WONDERFUL WAY TO ORGANIZE SMALL ITEMS.. OR TO PREPARE YOUR LIBRARY FOR THE DAY DIGITAL REFERENCING DIES! LOL.
EACH SECTION WILL BE PACKED SEPARATELY BUT IT WILL ALL BE BANDED TOGETHER. SO ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CUT THE BANDING AND MOVE EACH PIECE BY ITSELF.
