Unit was working as intended the last time I had it in the boat. Has been stored for several years.

The Lowrance X-49 fishfinder offered good performance for its time, capable of reaching depths around

600 feet (180 meters) with its powerful 600 watts (peak-to-peak) sonar, using Advanced Signal Processing (ASP) and a Film SuperTwist display for clear images, separating fish/structure from the bottom with Grayline. While it was a solid unit for general use and finding fish in shallower waters (like under 100-110 ft for best view), its depth potential with the standard transducer was quite good for recreational fishing at that era's standards, though modern units far exceed this.

Key Specs (from its era):

In Summary: The X-49 was a capable, older-generation fishfinder, reliable up to a few hundred feet, but newer technology offers much deeper penetration and detail.
