Vintage original Soviet triangular enamel pin commemorating the Luna-3 mission of 4.X.1959 – the first spacecraft to photograph the far side of the Moon. The badge shows a stylised blue crescent / orbit with a red rocket and the date around the edge.

This pin comes from my grandfather’s personal collection and was purchased in the USSR. It is a scarcer design among Soviet space badges and a great piece of early space-race history for any cosmonautics or Cold War memorabilia collection.
