A Vasart 9 Twisted Ribbon spoke, Millefiori paperweight. The Vasart company was formed after the 2nd World War when art glass production started up again. The Ysart family had been employed by Moncrieff Glassworks in Perth, Scotland since before 1939 but after the war, Vincent, Augustine and their father, Salvador set up their own works using their initials and the last part of their surname to form Vasart Glass, (which later became Strathearn in 1965). This weight is, in my opinion, from the Vasart period.
As with all listings, the photos form part of the description, lets you see what the item looks like but, I like to add things you might not get from the photos. The weight is roughly 546g in weight. It's about 8cm wide and about 5cm high although, the width and height never seem to come out right in the photos. Condition wise, there are no chips, scratches, flea bites etc that I can see or feel on the weight which for it's age is very good. Blue base, fire polished pontil. If you need more information or photos, just shout.
UK Buyers Protection and "simple" postal costs are set by eBay. I have no control over that and, I get whats left after eBay have deducted those from the purchase price. I post using Royal Mail 48 hour tracked as I find them reliable. EVRIs performance seems to vary wildly throughout the country. Global fees are set by eBay, I have no control over their charges. If you're buying outwith the UK, please make sure you know the full cost before making an offer or bid, I've had a few cancellations when folk realised the cost.
I've more than one thing on just now and I'm happy to try and combine postal charges where I can but, please be aware eBay may vary the cost under their "simple" postage rules.
Please note. This listing will end on Sunday 30th November , sold or not. Avoiding Christmas posting and having December off.
