This is a ticket stub for the 49ers vs Packers game played November 1, 1970 at old Kezar Stadium. Ticket stub has no creases. Has tape marks on backside.
49ers were led by QB John Brodie, RB Ken Willard, WR Gene Washington, DE Cedrick Hardman, DB Bruce Taylor, and & LB Dave Wilcox. Green Bay were led by QB Bart Starr, RB Donny Anderson, WR Carroll Dale,, LB Ray Nitschke, and SS Willie Wood.
In this game, Kezar was filled to capacity (59,335) for the first time since 1961 to watch the 49ers and Packers. Green Bay had a 3 - 0 lead at the end of 1st Quarter. By halftime, the score was tied at 10 - 10. In the 2nd half, the 49ers scored 16 unanswered points to pull out a 26 - 10 win. John Brodie was 11/21 for 153 yards and 1 TD. The difference in the game was the 49ers defense. DE Cedrick Hardman sacked Bart Starr and forced him out of the game following an interception. Starr's replacement was Don Horn who the 49ers intercepted 3 more times. One of those interceptions was by rookie DB Bruce Taylor who returned it 70 yards to set up the 49ers offense for a short TD drive. LB Frank Nunley also intercepted 2 passes. The 49ers recovered two fumbles by the Packers for a total of 6 turnovers on the day for Green Bay. Any questions let me know.
