The fabric can be easily cut, sewn, or taped to surfaces for creating DIY faraday cages or RF shielding enclosures. The fabric kit includes Faraday Tape, which can be used to tape together layers of Faraday Fabric.
*If using the material to build a faraday cage, follow these recommendations:
- Use two layers of fabric on all sides to increase shielding effectiveness.
- Ensure there are no gaps, holes, or cables protruding. Use faraday tape or secure closure method to seal the enclosure. Hold the enclosure up to a light to see if any light shines through; if so, patch holes with faraday tape.
- Once the faraday enclosure is constructed, use a faraday testing app, communicable device, or signal analyzer to confirm your design is properly shielding.
