If you need a 9 prong 2 row DB9 full wire null modem serial extension cable long enough to control the legacy equipment, 1.5ft 9 pin serial null modem cable can extend original serial to serial cord.

(Note: this is a male to female crossover cable null modem with full handshaking, not simple null modem cable, neither a loopback handshake null modem cable)

For RS-232C devices serial console access:the proxySG, MS-DOS PC, advanced secure gateway, content analysis, reporter, management center hardware devices, network equipment, etc.

Black 1.5 ft serial DB9 cable male to female is with gold plated pins for superior corrosion resistance, ensuring a solid basic null modem cable connection.
The 9 prong 2 row DB-9 connectors are equipped with a pair of thumbscrews for securing the plug to the female socket.

DB9 RS232 cable is shielded with Foil-Al layer shielding as most crossover serial cables do, it fits for most of jobs. But if there are big mess of interference at your work area, you may need a special heavy duty DB9 cable that features copper braided + AL-foil double shielded layer.

1. A short RS232 serial crossover cable male to female port, DO NOT perform straight through function.
2. Not 15 pin 3 row VGA cable to connects computer to monitor for video, is only for 9 pin 2 row RS 232 communication.
