Here is another incredible rarity among vintage Waterman pens! a real users pen that has been extensively used but is in incredible condition! The Waterman 44 is a rarer size with a relatively larger nib as well. Similar to modern number 6 size nibs. These vintage Waterman nibs are really amazing and eagerly sought after for their writing quality and abilities.
This is an original US made Safety for export to Europe back in the day and has a lovely flex nib!
Bought originally at the Prague Kellner shop the pen is really so nice in the hand and yet a large pen, but not unwieldy in anyway.
A fresh cork as been fitted and everything else has been left pretty much the way it is as the patina on the pen is really wonderful, such a character! What is even more interesting is that the cap chasing is still like new and the body has smoothed over almost....just one of those things due to just a lot of use. But the pen is just about that..this is a users pen and is so strong and intact, no cracks, splits of weak point its very very strong and simply wonderful to use! Yet it's an antique collectable that just grows and grows in value! Comes with its glass ink dropper, the rubber is still quite good but yes, its old, I am surprised it's still soft! Complete imprints are there but a little faint over the years.
The true quality is what lasts, and is such a pen, it's felt and seen!
All fully working as well!!! The nib is a lovely Springy flex nib with an XF - Extra fine needle point. Feather touch. smooth and wet.
Lines form 0.08 mm to 1.45 mm easily possible !
