The Forgefiend is a terrifying fusion of machine and bound Warp-entity, primarily designed as a devastating heavy fire support platform. Coaxed into existence by Warpsmiths and Sorcerers, its shell is powered by daemonic fury, and its weaponry spews forth shells or beams tainted with the power of the Warp. It is the ranged counterpart to the frenzied, melee-focused Maulerfiend, and both Daemon Engines embody the terrifying corruption of Chaos.
The size, detail, and daemonic aesthetic of the Forgefiend components make them perfect for large-scale Chaos projects:
Magnetization: The weapons and heads are frequently bought for magnetizing the main kit, allowing a single model to swap between Forgefiend and Maulerfiend loadouts.
Custom Chaos Knights: The daemon heads, carapace sections, and large weapons are excellent components for heavily customizing or "Chaos-ifying" Imperial Knights or War Dogs to create unique Daemon Engine variants.
