NOTE: You need to select a balancer based on the number of battery strings. For example, if your battery
is 12S, you must select a 12S balancer.The Balancer is directly connected to the battery and can be
used without a BMS.

Used in RV energy storage,photovoltaic energy storage,home and outdoor energy storage,
electric vehicles,tricycles,forklifts,tourist vehicles,golf cart etc.


Precautions

① The balancing board can work without Daly smart BMS;

② The balancing board needs to match the BMS/batteries with the same number of strings, and different numbers of strings cannot be mixed;

③ Please refer to the corresponding specification for the wiring instructions of the Daly Smart BMS;

④ The cables of different manufacturers are not universal, please make sure to use the cables matched by our company;

⑤ When testing, installing, contacting and using the balancing board, take measures to discharge static electricity;

⑥ Do not disassemble or change the components of active balancing by yourself.


Smart Active Balancer cable connection(Communication with KMS)

Note:Before K/M/S communicates with active balancing, connect K/M/S to the host computer, and set active Balancing Module to ON.

1、Weld the collection cables to the battery pack:The cable starts from the thin black wire connected to B-, the second wire is connected to the positive of the first string of batteries, and the positive of each string of batteries is connected in turn;

2、Insert the cable into the software active balance module

3、Connect UART1 of Daly Smart K/M/S BMS to the balance module

4、Connect the Daly Smart K/M/S BMS to low-power dissipation Bluetooth/PCMaster

5、Set parameters related to the software active balance module and Daly Smart K/M/S BMS


Smart Active Balancer cable connection(No Communication with KMS)

Note: When transferring Bluetooth from UART1 to UART2, you need to restart the APP or restart the Bluetooth of the phone;

3、Connect the smart active balancer module to low-power dissipation Bluetooth/PCMaster

4、Connect the Daly Smart K/M/S BMS to low-power dissipation Bluetooth/PCMaster

5、Set parameters related to the software active balancer


Active Balance

Balanced Start Voltage:

First single string voltage≥3.1V (Smart balancer can be seted)

Balance off voltage

First single string voltage≤3.0V

Balanced Opening Voltage Difference:

≥20mV

Balance Current:

100±30mV

Balanced start when both of the following conditions are met:

1.The maximum voltage difference between individual cells is ≥ the equalization opening voltage difference

2.The voltage of each individual cell >The balance turn-on voltage

3.The voltage of each individual cell The balance off voltage

Note: When the battery is at low voltage and discharged, the maximum balance
current is 0.8±0.2A


Introduction

Because the parameter values of battery capacity, internal resistance and voltage are not completely consistent, this difference causes the battery with the smallest capacity to be easily overcharged and over-discharged during charging.
After being damaged, the capacity of the smallest battery becomes smaller, entering a vicious cycle.
The performance of a single battery directly affects the charging and discharging characteristics of the entire battery pack and the reduction of the battery pack capacity.
A BMS without a balancing function is just a data collector and can hardly be called a management system.
This product is a capacitive active balancing module that can achieve a maximum 1A balancing current and use a switch matrix to transfer energy instead of excess power loss by combining capacitor charging and discharging.
When a slight voltage difference appears in the battery, the balancing control is immediately started as a carrier for energy transfer.
It can realize the direct transfer of energy between any two cells in the battery pack.
