Hi! You're looking at a BRAND NEW and UNREAD condition book which is RARE, hard to find and OUT OF PRINT and a wonderful guide to the classic English hobby magazine MECCANO MAGAZINE, including reproductions of every magazine cover published between 1916 and 1981 and written by JOSEPH MANDUCA for "The Hornby Companion Series"--the book is a STATED FIRST EDITION published in Great Britain in 1987 and a HARDCOVER with the ORIGINAL DUSTJACKET. The book has a single, tiny discolored spot on the lower center of the tan-colored first page, slight dings on the spine tips and just slight shelfwear on the dustjacket typical of many new books and is in PERFECT shape otherwise! The book is titled The Meccano Magazine, 1916-1981: The Hornby Companion Series and it was JOSEPH MANDUCA; it was published by New Cavendish Books in London in 1987 and is a 1st EDITION copy.

This beautiful reference book reprints all the covers of Meccano Magazine, both black and white and color, and includes a major and invaluable 100 page index to the entire magazine run so that it is possible to find all the articles on a particular subject whenever published. This guide also includes a history of the magazine and a chronological index.

Meccano Magazine was "the" magazine for curious inventive boys in England for many decades, and this volume captures the rapid technological changes they saw in transportation (rail, air, and ships), inventions, nature and science fiction. The book includes 688 color plates and 35 black and white photos and runs 484 pages.

A fantastic find, and a beautiful copy of this book!
