Vintage St Antony’s College Oxford University Heraldic Mess Wooden Plaque/Shield

Size 18cm long by 13.5 cm wide approx. Has recess at the back so it can be hung from the wall

The shield came from the storeroom and archives of W&F Hudden Ltd which started in 1825 and was sold to Dunnetts (Birmingham) Ltd in 1970 and ceased trading in 2007.

They were the makers of various metal products but also made heraldic shields originally the centre piece was metal but later it was all wood.

This one is all wood. I do have a various original metal centre pieces which will be listed at a later date.
