Not working presently, just a little noise when turning off and on. No cracks or dents or hairlines, just a little nick of plastic on bottom right seen in pics. Some of the silver is worn off the escutcheon. If you have a silver sharpie you can touch up the paint there. No battery holder but batteries will sit in there ok anyway.
