The third installment in the "back to basics" series, a collaboration between SECRET GARDEN and HELTER SKELTER, features outtakes and mix variations from each album. Naturally, it's the third album, "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT."

The audio for this release was compiled by an overseas collector and initially distributed online with reduced sound quality and data size, creating a buzz among enthusiasts. This time, the production group once again provided us with the original version, not the online version, resulting in a truly definitive release with the highest possible audio quality.

The contents of this release cover the album's outtakes, including not only the familiar title track "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT," but also outtakes and alternate mixes of the German versions of "I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND" and "SHE LOVES YOU," both recorded around the same time, as well as related audio from the TV show "AROUND THE BEATLES." Additionally, as part of the alternate mixes, Disc 3 includes stereo and mono tracks from the film's soundtrack. This is the first time the mono version has been released on CD, and the stereo version has been properly adjusted for the unsteady slow pitch of the YD version. Disc 4 includes a pseudo-stereo version of the alternate mix, also appearing on CD for the first time.

This generous four-disc set includes all the outtakes, alternate mixes, and film mixes.

The bonus tracks include tracks not included on the first album, "PLEASE PLEASE ME SESSIONS back to basics," but added by Helter later on in the revised version. These bonus tracks complement the series, including the "1,2,3,4!" version of "HOW DO YOU DO IT." Of course, these are not downloadable audio.

Speaking of downloadable audio, the previous two albums were pressed using audio source material downloaded from the internet and then arbitrarily altered, ignoring the concept behind the original. This caused outrage within the production group, with people saying, "What are they copying without permission?" Cheap copies with such poor sound quality are a no-no, so this time we're specifically pointing out that label to download sites, urging them to avoid counterfeits. Please be careful of fakes.

The track list is written for detailed information, so please refer to it, but it includes many tracks that are being released on CD for the first time, and even previously released tracks have been upgraded with normalized sound phase, noise removal, and cleaned-up sound quality. Above all, considering that no previously released disc has compiled the "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT" sessions in such a systematic way, there's no doubt that this will be the definitive edition. A solid pressing on a beautiful picture disc for permanent preservation.
