1978-1997 - 25 28 HP

Please note that this lower unit is for split cases ONLY! The later 25 HP motors joined with the 35 HP having a single-piece unit and this will not fit on those engines. 

Depending on the year of your motor, there was a simple break down for the split case units....

1978 - 4 spline driveshaft - 13 spline propeller shaft
1979-1983 - Fine splined driveshaft - 13 spline propeller shaft
1984-1997 - 14 spline driveshaft - 13 spline propeller shaft 

We have provided this cross-reference with the resources we have available in regards to fitment. This most likely will not fit every model for the years and horsepowers we have listed. We urge you to make sure this is the exact item you need by matching the part number to what is required for your motor.
