Beautiful old German 3/4 HOPF violin around 1930 / 1940.

Nicely crafted instrument with masterly crafted scroll and accurately inlaid purfling on front and back. Stamped on the upper back, this beautiful violin shows some marks in it´s old amber varnish, but no open cracks or open seams. The table is medium to fine grained spruce and the back - like ribs and neck - is deeply flamed maple. The violin was completely revised in our workshop and received new setup with newly fitted elder pegs, new ebony tailpiece, a new ebony chinrest, a new bridge, new soundpost and new strings.

Measures aprox.: total 55,5 cm / 21.85”, body 33,5 cm / 13.2”, vibrating chord length 31 cm / 12.2”, weight 419 gr / ~14.78 oz.
