Hallmark Keepsake Beer Stein Christmas tree ornament.  Artist crafted by Tom Best and released for the 2013 holiday season.

By common usage, stein is referred to as being a beer container with a handle and a hinged lid. Around the 14th century, the spread of the bubonic plague throughout Europe forced Germany's to take some precautions, so a law was written stating that all beverage containers needed a lid.

Today, signs are collected for their artistry. Keepsake artist and beer aficionado, Tom Best designed this one in the German style, with a nod to Santa's reindeer. Prost!
