The Art of Kyo-kanoko Shibori
INTRODUCTION:
This book introduces Kyo-kanoko tie-dye in detail. It also includes the tie-dyeing process, and it is especially noteworthy that the kukuri (binding) method is posted in a very easy-to-understand manner using photographs. Several types of kukuri are carefully explained.
In addition, 50 kinds of samples of Kyo-Kanoko Shibori and many tie-dye kimonos are also posted.

Kyo-Kanoko Shibori
Kyoto has a tradition of tie-dyeing for more than a thousand years. The technique is still inherited, and many works are created by the advanced technique unique to Kyoto. Kyo-kanoko Shibori is a general term for produced using these technologies. Hikita Shibori is a typical example. It is widely known as Kanoko Shibori because the dyed finish resembles the pattern on the back of a fawn.
There are about 50 types of these Shibori techniques. In Kyoto, each person often uses only one technique for Shibori techniques, and Hikita Shibori and Hitome Shibori, which require particularly high skills, are completely specialized.

If you are not satisfied with the item received, you can return it (only 30days). In this case, we can only refund you back the purchase price and original shipping.
