The Beatles' final live performance, "The Rooftop Concert," is now available for the first time in a complete stereo remastered 3-disc set! This legendary concert is recreated in its entirety using all existing audio recordings. It also includes all camera footage, complete with camera roll. In 1969, while the Beatles' Get Back sessions were still ongoing, the "Rooftop Concert" took place unannounced on the roof of Apple's headquarters in central London on January 30th. While a portion of the concert was edited and shown in the film "Let It Be," this latest collection from the DAP label brings you the complete, uncut concert experience, utilizing all camera recordings and multi-track masters! Remastered to deliver the highest sound quality ever, every track is in full stereo, and all camera recordings are individually recorded for this definitive edition. CD 1 includes the longest-ever complete version, combining all surviving masters, as well as the film version. Rehearsal scenes and interludes not used in the film are reproduced and multi-tracked. All tracks are recorded in true stereo, including some tracks not included in the original film. The latter half also includes the Ron Furmanek Mix, the first stereo remaster of the film's original mono soundtrack, from 1992. Listen and compare the differences between each soundtrack. CDs 2 and 3 contain the entire film footage, divided into six rolls. The A-roll, which primarily features rooftop footage, the B-roll, which includes sounds from the ground and street interviews, and supplementary audio tracks are included in six camera rolls. All previously mono camera roll audio has been converted to true stereo for the first time, a significant upgrade from previous recordings. This truly is the definitive, complete recording of "Rooftop Concert," featuring all currently existing related soundtracks!
