Mint condition Jaeger Le Coultre Asprey Automatic. Beautiful creamy
silver dial in a heavy 9 k yellow gold case. It comes with the original strap
and buckle, though the JLC logo has fallen off the buckle.It also has the
original JLC crown. It was a presentation watch and has an engraved case back.
It comes in the original presentation bx. Its not a JLC box, it is an Asprey
box as this is an Asprey branded model. Asprey are a well known jeweller base
on Bond Street, London. They are one of the most famous jewellers in the world.
Jaeger Le Coultre are one of the few elite Swiss watchmakers who manufacture
their own movements in house. They are a
company was established in 1833 in the Vallee de Joux watch making region of
Switzerland. They are highly regarded
for their quality timepieces, technical innovation, and one of the most
stringent and fanatical testing centres in Switzerland. Jaeger Le Coultre have been instrumental in
the development of wrist alarms, and they developed the first automatic wrist
alarm 1958. This one dates from the mid
1968. The design is typical of this era of wristwatch styling, it is slim and
elegant looking with attractive bent lugs.
Has a Jaeger le Coultre wording at the 12 position. The case is
stainless steel and larger for the period. Unusual to find in a watch of this
age, it has the original signed winding crown, domed acrylic crystal, curved
dial and original detailed case back.
