2. Pinch up the sebum:
Use your thumb and forefinger to pinch up the skin and subcutaneous fat, creating a crease (be careful not to include the muscles).
3. Clamp sebum:
Hold the sebum pliers vertically in the middle of the crease (about 1cm from the pinched area) and release the trigger to allow the pliers to hold naturally.
4. Read the scale:
Keep the sebum crease clamped for approximately 2 seconds and read the value on the dashboard, usually in millimetres (mm).
5. Record the data:
Body fat percentage can be estimated based on different formulas (e.g. Jackson & Pollock formula).
