Length from waist to hem: 29 1/2 inches
Condition: this was not worn many time. It is not in worn condition. However it has issues. The moths loved this dress as much as I did. There are holes. Please see photos they are part of the description. It is such a shame. However I did think about putting small iron on patches that melt into fabric to cover the holes. If this was done it would protect the fabric holes from getting larger. I would still hand wash this dress and use Woolite soap.
Also , if you don’t care for the fabric and can sew , the dress can be taken apart and used as a pattern. The buttons and trim can be refuse. If you are looking for perfection I have others with tags and no issues. If you just love this as I do I would repair. Thanks so much. Thank you for your consideration on the items I have here to purchase! All dresses are vintage unless indicated. They have been steam cleaned and pressed. Some will need to be pressed again as they have been moved several times. I have over 75 clothing items. I am disabled so I really can’t press them again. The first time was very taxing on me. I apologize.
I am guessing they are from the 1950s and 1960s. Some have never been worn and some have original tags unless indicated. Keep in mind they are vintage. Fabric can fade over time. I have pointed out any flaws I have noticed when cleaning and pressing. I have adjusted the price of the item accordingly .
I use to wear mostly vintage clothing when I was younger. A flaw never mattered much to me as it added character. But if you are looking for new..these are not.

History of these clothes. I purchased all these dresses from a store in HYDE Park Illinois. I came upon the store as in 1990. I was shopping and noticed the storefront had older dresses , and vintage items. Its windows were a bit foggy and unkept. It had not been updated for some time. The sign on the door said CLOSED. A elderly woman was sitting in a chair looking out at the sidewalk. I waved to her and she opened the door and invited me in. She was such a delight. She was a bit confused but seem to enjoy my company. He son came out of the back room. He had told me that this was her shop of many years. It was once a booming business.
He said They lived in the back of the store. They had kept the store as his mom loved it so. They were not really open for business. I saw all the older dresses hanging . I asked them if they would be willing to sell some to me. She smiled and he also agreed.
So this is how I obtained these clothes. She apologized that she didn’t have bags to put the clothes in and the bags were going to arrive next week in the mail.
Her son said he had not seen her this happy in such a long time. She went to an old cash register and put the money inside. My sales was the only money in the cash register. She invited me to come back again. I returned many times. I would bring cofee and we would sit and talk.
I have had these clothes since then. They were vintage when I bought them. I wore a lot of vintage clothing and actually bought them for myself. I also dressed antique dolls and so I had planned to use the fabric on the dresses for doll clothes.
I moved to Vermont bringing the clothes with me. Long story…I became ill. They have been in my closet for many years. I am now keeping a few and putting up the rest for those interested in being creative and wearing clothes. They are perfect for those who are in the movie industry or theater.
