Our F1 key fob is the ideal solution if you need a spare but don't want to spend 2 to 3 times as much for the Porsche-branded model.   Don't let the low price fool you.  The F1 offers improvements over the original design, taking advantage of components unavailable 30 years ago.  This cuts the number of components in half, improves reliability, lowers power consumption and reduces cost, all while maintaining the look and feel of the original.    Fewer parts means more room for the antenna for the best possible range.  The Lithium coin cell eliminates the problematic alkaline cell and has an impressive 10 - year shelf life and 30,000+ operations, typical  The only thing missing is the Porsche logo!   If you must have it, the F1 will fit your OE housings perfectly.

The F1 is 100% compatible with all 993 models and comes in two frequencies: 315MHz version for North American 993's and 433 MHz for European 993's.  Order the frequency that matches your car.

Not sure which frequency to order?

Look at the label on the back of your OEM fob case. If you see "RK116" or "RKY116" you have a 315MHz system.  If you see "RK114" or "RKY114" you have a 433MHz system.  If there is no label on the back, open the fob and look at the small metal can on the circuit board.   The can on 315MHz fobs is normally labeled "R2622" or "RP1239".  On 433MHz fobs it's normally labeled "R2632".   If you have access to the immobilizer (under the left seat), the frequency is noted on the label.   If you have any questions, contact us for assistance before ordering.

Like the OEM fob, the F1 has to be programmed to the car before use.  You will need the 4-digit PIN code that came with your 993 and the procedure in your owner's manual.  If you don't want to deal with programming or PIN codes, see our new "Self-Programming" F2 fob: https://www.ebay.com/itm/317040627311.
