*NO SHIPPING TO CHINA, DO NOT BUY as you will be Unable to Pay** Very Very Hard to Find, 1950's 2-Piece Sundress Play Suit in an INCREDIBLE NOVELTY PRINT of FRENCH LANGUAGE SAYINGS which MAY be a Poem. I translated some of what I could decipher, some of the sayings translate to "Allowed when we dream", "coldness & boredom", "who come closer end", "Your beautiful gesture" and "Cute let's see if". Sorry, I did my best for someone not fluent in French but if you are, deciphering all of these will be cake for you. This is a VERY SCARCE LABEL, "Junard Jr. Dresses by H. Bomze & Bro. Inc". I went way down the rabbit hole, I couldn't find a single comparable dress anywhere, as to a sale or even as to this fabric via Google Lens. The only Label History I could attain was via an Article in an old 1954 Newspaper, stating that this Label was an Off-shoot of "June Arden" (view pic). The images depicted on this print are so whimsical, (they almost remind me of Surrealist Art), especially the one of the man and woman's faces kissing. Dress has an Elasticized Bandeau Bodice, with Adjustable Shoulder Straps. Original Belt and Matching Cropped Bolero Jacket with Rolled Cuffs. The fabric has a slub in the weave which reminds me of a Dupioni, but it's a rayon and cotton blend. XXS, Measures Bust 30", Waist 20-26" when stretched, free hip, length waist to hem 25 1/2". Condition would be good if not for a large, wonky mend across the front skirt (pic). Some yellowed spots (pic), some small brownish stains, at the skirt and the shoulder strap (pic). Small hole w/frayed surround at the fold-over border at bodice (pic), a few pinholes that you'll not find. Yellowing at the edges of the inside bodice, ultra-faint underarm shadows at jacket. Dress has been cleaned so you'll need some skills to remove what remains of the stains and spots. She cut the hem and re-hemmed, so there's nothing to let down, a few areas at the hem will need re-tacked. Small seam out at the belt with fuzzing (pic). If you are a Novelty Print Collector, You will Recognize the Rarity of this piece, regardless of the detractions, (I've priced it accordingly). *NOTE: THIS IS AN AS-IS SALE, NO RETURNS So do NOT purchase if you can not accept these terms*
