The Beatles records from the 1960s were produced in various countries around the world, and were released in various forms that differed from the British original, from the mastering and cutting of the sound source to the jacket design, and even after that, in the analog era before digitalization by CD, there were many variations in re-releases around the world. Now, with information sharing and verification by collectors around the world, the album version that is attracting particular attention as the ultimate item that enthusiasts drool over is being completely recorded in stereo/mono with outstanding freshness by direct transfer from each analog record master, and this "Premium Vinyl Collection" is a premium sound source collection consisting of a CD containing the ultimate analog sound source and an audio DVD containing four types of sound sources including high-quality high-resolution sound sources.
This collection, Help!, was released in the UK on August 6, 1965, and is the fifth official British album by The Beatles. It is also the soundtrack to the movie Help!, which was The Beatles' second film after A Hard Day's Night in 1964. It includes the hit singles "Help!", "Ticket to Ride," the Bob Dylan-influenced "Blow Away," and the classic "Yesterday," which features a string quartet. In the US, the album is released as a movie soundtrack, with different recordings consisting of the A-side from the British album and instrumental tracks. When it was first released on CD in 1987, it was remixed by George Martin, which was different from the original mix. The first half of this CD contains the original mono sound source from the first British pressing. The audio quality of this album is not so good for a first pressing, but some say that this first pressing of the mono version is a "loud cut" like "Rubber Soul" or "With the Beatles". If you expect the fresh sound of the original mono source, the sound quality is not so good from the beginning of "Help!", but it is said that this is due to the original mix, and after that, you can feel the good sound quality of the first pressing of the analog version. In particular, the first song of side B, "Act Naturally", has the fresh sound of the original mono source, and "Yesterday" also has the texture of analog, which is unique to the original first pressing, and it is the best sound that can only be experienced with a direct copy from the analog version. The second half of the CD includes the HTM 1985 stereo mastering source of the reissue of the British Silver Parlophone released in 1985. This sound source, cut by Harry Moss, a famous engineer at Abbey Road Studios, is a remarkable stereo remaster unique to the 1980s version, in which the sound itself is clearer and the mid-high range is brighter than the normal British original stereo mix, making the vocals and chorus easier to hear and the instruments are more separated. This is also a sound source unique to analog records that is different from the current digitally remastered version. The DVD is a "High Resolution & HQ Audio Selection" that contains four sound sources, including high-quality high-resolution sound sources, in audio DVD format, allowing you to compare the differences in the sound sources. Audio 1 contains the mono sound source of the original British first pressing. You can listen to the sound of the analog record in a high-quality high-resolution format (96 khz/24 bit) that reproduces the texture of the record as it is with high specifications higher than CD. Audio 2 contains the stereo sound source of the original British first pressing. It is an original stereo sound source unique to analog records that is different from CDs. Audio 3 contains the stereo sound source from the Mobile Fidelity (MFSL) version released in the United States in 1982. It is a stereo mix standard sound source recorded from the popular Mobile version, which is considered to be the highest quality analog master as an audio reference with excellent clarity and balance compared to the regular versions from various countries, and is a limited record pressing of the stereo sound source from the British original master with high sound quality. And audio 4 contains the British version HTM 1985 stereo remastered sound source reissued in 1985. This is also an HQ (high quality 48 khz) sound source with specifications higher than CD. The DVD video plays each record jacket and label photo in slide show format, and each sound source can be selected by audio selection. This is a special edition of "Help!" that reproduces the four precious record sources that have now become super expensive treasure premium items! It is the ultimate complete reproduction permanent collection that reproduces the real original analog sound with a coated paper jacket that imitates the British version.
