The Hurricane fighter was a single seat, single engine, single wing piston fighter jet from the United Kingdom. It was one of the main fighter planes of the British Air Force during World War II and also one of the most outstanding light fighters in terms of comprehensive performance during the war.

The Hurricane fighter was a well-known fighter jet during World War II. It suffered a devastating defeat in its first battle against an opponent born at the same time, and then gained great fame for its outstanding achievements. It was known as the most important weapon to save Britain and shot down about 1500 German planes in the Battle of Britain, more than other planes and ground firepower combined. It was also a major force in the fight against the German Air Force in the previous French battlefield.

The Hurricane fighter was designed and built by the British Hawker Aircraft Company in the 1930s. It made its maiden flight in November 1935 and entered service in 1937. By the end of 1944, a total of 14000 Hurricane and Sea Hurricane fighters had been produced and served on major battlefields during World War II. For many years after the war, on the anniversary of the Battle of Britain, a hurricane would fly over London as a tribute to this legendary aircraft
