Older Garmin handheld GPS unit.  Includes 4 AA batteries.  No charging cable option/battery only.  Unit powers on and off.  There are various menus and set up options.  I don't really know how it works beyond that, but the manual is available online.  It is about 70 pages and has all the details.  There is no way to update this device, so it may or may not be functional in this day and age.

Screen display is 2" x 2.5" and controls are all soft touch rubber.  The unit is made of hard molded plastic.
