The Story Behind This Piece

This sacred Guanyin Bodhisattva statue is a masterpiece hand-carved by a skilled artisan from a small village in Northern Thailand. It is carved from solid female agarwood (oud) — a rare and precious aromatic wood known for its deep natural scent, created through decades of resin formation inside the heart of the tree.

The Guanyin is depicted in the Blessing Pose, based on the legend where the Jade Emperor manifested a sacred lotus to receive her after she completed her meritorious practice. This pose represents compassion, grace, and divine protection for those who believe.

🕊️ Many believe that the powerful energy of Guanyin, combined with the spiritual properties of authentic agarwood, helps protect from harm, bring success, and cultivate inner peace and clarity.

It is said that this statue was once part of a private altar belonging to a respected Vipassana monk, and has since been passed on to a devout follower for continued reverence.
