Item : THE BEATLES / INDIANAPOLIS STATE FAIR & MONTREAL FORUM 【1CD】

Condition :  NEW

Epstein's strategy for the first visit to the US in February 1964 was to limit the exposure and stimulate the fans' hunger, with only two performances and a TV appearance. In contrast, the second visit to the US, the summer tour of the US, was a busy schedule that lasted almost a month from August 19th to September 20th, with almost no breaks. This hard schedule led to a reduction in the number of shows the following year, and instead chose large venues, which resulted in legendary concerts such as the Shea Stadium. This work is a coupling of two performances from the first US tour of 1964, the Indianapolis performance on September 3rd and the Montreal performance on September 8th. As with the previous series, this time, the low-generation source owned by a famous collector is used, achieving a significant improvement in sound quality compared to the previously released version. Furthermore, tapes from more than 40 years ago tend to be unstable when played, and the pitch of the ones released so far was slightly inaccurate, but we adjusted it to ±0 as much as possible and removed as much distortion caused by fatigue of the master tape as possible, reproducing the Beatles' performance as it was at the venue at that time.

The first half is a recording of the Indianapolis performance on September 3, 1964. It starts with an introduction by the DJ of the local radio station where this recording was recorded, John greets the microphone with "Hello", Paul counts out loud and "Twist and Shout" begins. John's voice is in good condition, and his rock and roll voice explodes. Depending on the performance, John may be joking around or not singing properly, but in Indianapolis he sings the standard seriously. The feature of this day is the good sound quality. As for the recordings from the 1964 North American tour, there are famous performances with good sound such as the Hollywood Bowl, Whiskey Flat and Vancouver, but even if the officially recorded Hollywood Bowl is in a class of its own, this Indianapolis will be one of the best leaked recordings. The sound balance, high-pitched sound, and low-pitched sound are all impeccable. It's a shame that the latter half of the last song, "Long Tall Sally," is cut off, but that shortcoming is compensated for by the fact that the recording is full of charm.

The second half of the album contains the Montreal performance on September 8, 1964. This is a recording that was only discovered recently, and is a precious Montreal concert that was previously unknown. The sound quality is not as good as the Indianapolis performance, but it was probably recorded by a local radio station, and it was also recorded as a soundboard recording. Since it was close to the Indianapolis performance and it was a Canadian performance, the energetic performance is captivating. The French MC will surely sound fresh to those who collect Beatles concerts. Unfortunately, the two songs that were probably performed, "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and "Long Tall Sally," have not yet been excavated, but everything that exists is included.

The Beatles' first US tour in the summer of 1964, which was a hard schedule that took them around North America almost non-stop for a month, and the enthusiasm in each place is still legendary, and it has an important position in the history of the Beatles. Among them, the Indianapolis performance, which stood out in both sound quality and performance, and the Montreal performance, which was recently excavated, are coupled. Both performances are worthy of being definitive editions, with sound quality and pitch adjustments. A permanently preserved solid pressing with beautiful picture disc specifications. Comes with a Japanese obi.
