【When & How to change ignition coils】
The ignition coil on car is supposed to last around 100,000 miles or more. You will have reduced gas mileage when coil begins to go bad and becomes less able to transfer power. Your car requires more fuel to run, this means you will spend more money on gas than normal.
- Step 1: Disconnect the negative electrode of the battery and loosen the high voltage wire.
- Step 2: Disconnect the wiring harness connector , remove the bolt and nut fixing the ignition coil.
- Step 3:Hold the root of the ignition coil rubber sleeve and pull out the ignition coil from the spark plug.
- Step 4: Install the new ignition coil, restore it to the original state, and check if the ignition is successful.
