This unique handmade ring features a mesmerizing Mexican opal that shifts with every movement. Flashes of vibrant green and mystical blue-violet dance across its surface, changing color with the light. It’s like holding a piece of the twilight sky, alive with the magic of dusk. This ring is made with Copper, Bronze and Silver, all hand saudered by local Seattle, WA jeweler.
Mexican Opal: 17x12 mm Ring size: 7.5
How it's made:
-The 3 different metals intertwining together is quite special and takes a certain technique, as each metal has its own unique temperature melting point. This requires experience and precision, in order to carefully melt these metals together well.
-This ring is made by one continuous sheet of copper, and is strategically cut, and shaped by hand to create the curves and design. The bezel cup holding this jelly opal was made by hand using a sheet of silver. Both sides holding the stone is the bezel, and inside is the special groove supporting the gemstone, all hand made.
-A brass wire is saudered directly to the copper wire, and curves its way to connect with the silver bezel. The wire had their ends fired to create a bead at the tip.
- A small silver bead nestles beneath the brass accent, adding a subtle contrast and sense of movement to the design.
-All bezel work is hand crafted to the natural shapes of the stone. The bezel is cut out of a sheet of silver to fit tightly around the stone. The bezel's metal rim is gently hand hammered, which flattens the metal edge around the edge of the stone, strongly securing the stone within (with no additional grooves support). The bezel is then polished with a buffer wheel to remove all marks and creates a beautiful shine!
- Inside the band, you’ll find the SamSung signature stamp—a mark of true craftsmanship, ensuring this piece is as unique as the hands that created it.
