I have had this watch a while because I have enjoyed wearing it so much, it is very different to anything else from the usual brands I have owned. A unique design in every aspect & unbelievable craftsmanship when it comes to the movement, case, dial and hands, The movement is stunning and has the Geneva seal stamp which is a highly regarded achievement in horological terms, and means the craftsmanship and finishing of the movement is of the highest standard, Patek, Vacheron and Cartier movements carry this seal of quality too.

The watch is 43mm across not including the crown.

Condition is very nice but please expect light signs of use. The sapphire crystal has a scratch near 8 o’clock which I did not notice with the naked eye and was only apparent when I studied my photos. The bezel is solid white gold. The unique case back features a case back frame which is secured by cross head screws, underneath this is a more traditional screw down case back which of course is a display back with sapphire crystal. I have cleaned, oiled and greased the movement around 6 months ago and as you can see it is running very well. The beautifully crafted hands feature red lume which contrasts against the unique design of the black dial beautifully. The original rubber strap is included in the sale but was way too short for me, I also wanted a black alligator strap to go with the watch so I had a real alligator strap custom made at some expense, the custom strap is constructed with the same unseen fixing points on the ends that slide into the case itself, I have added a photo from the Custom HU web site to further explain the fixing points. The strap fits a wrist up to 7.8 inches and of course can be made smaller too.

The watch has real carbon fibre inserts between the lugs and on the lug sides adding to the unique design and construction of this watch.

I really love this piece because the manufacturer has not followed any other design cues from other brands, the build quality and attention to detail is astounding too.

If you are looking to impress Nigel down the pub, this watch is NOT for you! Nigel will have never heard of Roger Dubuis and he will be left confused, clueless and awkward as he tries to compare this watch with his Apple Watch. Avoid questions like “is it as good as a Rolex, Omega?” Etc, etc. Buy it because you love it, understand horology and what you are really buying here. Or without sounding unreasonable don’t buy it and I will happily keep this one myself 😊
