The book is illustrated with ninety full-page colour plates of tortes and pastry, reproduced in colour offset, and eighteen additional plates of pastry with descriptive text on opposite page, or verso of b/w photogravure plates. Includes six patterns (from 6 x 7" to a 9 3/4" square) of torte decorations and twenty-two thin waxed tissue papers (9 3/4" squares) with embossed decorative patterns.

Customized official stamp of publisher for the R. L. Devoe bakery in Chicago on printed half-title. Text in German, English and Swedish.

DISBOUND but with a tight text block, the 18 black and white plates loose at the back as usual. Binding with light wear along edges, small chips. Front and back endpapers loose with chips and creasing , tears and loss, but present.

18 b/w plates loose and partially browned loose at the rear.

Unpaginated: 3, 90 (1), 18 leaves, 6 patterns, 23 waxed tissues.

Approximately 11 ½ inches tall.
