A contemporary painting of the River Seine and the island in the middle of it, near Notre Dame, apparently unsigned, 22" by 25" as framed, painted in a broadly impressionist, loose, breezy, airy hand, beautifully capturing the essence of the famous scene.  Condition is excellent.  Appears as if the previous owner spent some money to frame this in an unusual manner, providing a satisfying contemporary effect.
