Alex Ovechkin scored his 65th goal of the 2007-08 season, establishing an NHL record for goals by a left wing, in a 4-1 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning on April 3, 2008. Ovechkin's goal total marked the most in Washington Capitals history and the most by any NHL player since Mario Lemieux scored 69 in 1995-96. This piece of the net from that night at Verizon Center is now an exclusive keepsake.
